Simon Ma
Simon Ma was born in Hong Kong in 1974 and taught by the freehand brushwork master Fan Tzu Teng from childhood. He graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture London in 1997. Having explored the art world for more than 20 years, he is deeply influenced by Chinese and Western art and culture. By combining Chinese with Western culture and using different materials, he has created many amazing contemporary art works with his own unique style. He uses “water” and “horse” as his main creative themes. His arts are interactive in a spiritual level, so the viewers can feel healed, nurtured and motivated.
Simon Ma’s art works have been also exhibited or collected at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome, the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Art in Miami, USA. Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Venice Biennial Exhibition, National Grand Theater, Shanghai World Expo Italian Pavilion, Shanghai Contemporary Museum(MOCA) of Art , Zhejiang Provincial Museum of Art, Xu Beihong Museum of Art, Ningbo 1844 Contemporary Museum of Art, Shanghai National Treasure of Museum of Art of Modern China, Taiwan Kaohsiung Museum of Art, and Hong Kong Jockey Club, etc.
