Chris Doyle

Chris Doyle is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York, with wide-ranging international experience in temporary and permanent projects in the public realm. For the entry court of Westfield Culver City, Doyle has created an iconic suspended artwork that will draw customers and visitors into the centre.

Lenticular lightboxes in the form of coins hang from a contemporary mobile structure. Each coin transitions between the portrait of a local community member and the image of a local architectural icon, all drawn from the artist’s residency in Culver City. The mobile is always in motion with the gentle movement of air currents, and the flickering faces of the coins change with the position of the viewer.
