Florentijn Hofman

A veteran of art in the public sphere, Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman is renowned world-over for his urban installations which scale up animals to larger-than-life proportions.

His seminal artwork Rubber Duck, an inflatable of the famous childhood ‘rubber duckie’, has graced more than 20 global destinations, becoming one of the world’s most recognisable conceptual artworks to date. Identifiable and appealing, Hofman’s sculptures capture the imagination, inspiring joy, commotion, conversation, whilst providing a welcome break from everyday routine.

Hofman attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Kampen, The Netherlands and holds a MFA from the Kunsthochschule Weissensee in Berlin, Germany. He currently lives and works in Arnhem, The Netherlands.
