#Play-Doh

Although Jeff Koons’ iconic Play-Doh made its debut in 2014 at the artist’s Whitney retrospective, this striking sculpture had already been in the works for several years.

From the intricately cracked texture to the solid mound of cast aluminum, Play-Doh remains both an aesthetic and engineering feat that our Rock Tavern team was honored to assist with. Having a storied relationship with Polich Tallix, the renowned artist collaborated with our team for the fabrication and assembly of the 10-foot sculpture.

The brightly colored artwork consists of 27 interlocking sections that evoke the playfulness and materiality of a real-life pile of Play-Doh
