#Looking Up
NEW YORK CITY, USA
Unveiled during the late winter of 2020 in Rockefeller Center’s Channel Gardens, located on Fifth Avenue between 49th and 50th Streets, Tom Friedman’s Looking Up glimmers brightly welcoming locals and tourists alike. Standing 10 feet tall, this monumental aluminum figure compels passersby to join its gaze and look past the peak of Rockefeller Plaza into the sky beyond.
Underneath the sun, Looking Up glimmers brilliantly showing its unique composition of aluminum roasting pans, pie plate, and various other baking tins. This original intricate texture was successfully translated throughout casting and finishing in our Rock Tavern foundry.
